My Background

Jennifer Landeche Taranto
Financial Services Professional

Jennifer Taranto was born and raised in southeast Louisiana to a family of entrepreneurs. She caught the bug watching the family business, selling bait and seafood in the local community, provide a unique lifestyle that she loved as a young girl. She entered Tulane University as an undergraduate in Computer Engineering, but soon changed majors, resulting in a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and French. She started an early career in Education, teaching high school students in Jefferson Parish. In 2002, she left her position as teacher to spend more time with her very young children and also to start a business. Jennifer spent the next 15 years developing her business acumen, while running her household and homeschooling her 4 sons. In 2017, she decided to change careers once again, blending her love of teaching and passion for financial literacy, to accept a position with New York Life. She considers herself a financial problem solver who is willing to take the time to really listen to her clients, provide education, and help them achieve life goals in both the personal and professional arena.
